Part time or Full time Housekeeper Job in Mayfair, London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a housekeeper to join a large Middle Eastern family at their Mayfair residence, which they typically visit three to four times a year. While the family is away, you will work with a House Manager to ensure everything runs smoothly. When they are in London, they will also bring in Butlers, Maids, and Nannies to assist and may also hire additional external help if deemed necessary. This newly renovated high end property spans six floors filled with antiques, silver, and marble finishes. You will work for a lovely family of eleven, including children who will be cared for by Nannies. They are looking for a well-rounded individual who is a team player, proactive, and maintains a positive attitude at work. This is a semi-formal household, and wearing a uniform will be required.

Duties to include: 

  • Cleaning
  • Laundry
  • Ironing
  • Changing bed linen
  • Other ad hoc duties

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and previous experience in UHNW private households. A positive, can-do attitude is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining high professional standards in a semi-formal environment. Discretion is also a key requirement for this position. The family are typically in London during Ramadan, the summer months, and the Christmas and New Year holidays, although this may vary depending on their travel plans. The candidate will be expected to take their annual leave when the family is away, with a maximum of 2 weeks at a time.

Working days/Hours:

  • Full time: 45 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm when the family is not in residence. Flexibility to work up to 7-10 consecutive days and overtime when the family is in London will be required. Overtime will be paid in addition to your salary.
  • Part time: 25 hours per week: Monday to Friday, or three full days – flexible for the right candidate

Salary:

  • Full time: £40,000 - £45,000 GPA (negotiable based on experience)
  • Part time: £18-£20 gross per hour (PAYE)
