Pizza Chef

Our client, a new luxury pizza five start restaurant in Edinburgh, is seeking an experienced Pizza Chef/Pizzaiolo to join their team to create delicious pizzas using the finest ingredients. Opening in the heart of the city, our client's aim is to provide a unique dining experience with exceptional food, outstanding customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas according to our restaurant's standards.

  • Ensure that all food preparation areas and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked.

  • Work with the Head Chef to develop new pizza recipes and menu items.

  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked in compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

  • Manage and maintain the kitchen's wood-fired pizza oven.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Pizza Chef/Pizzaiolo, ideally in a high-end restaurant environment.

  • Knowledge of traditional Neapolitan pizza-making techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of pizza dough-making and pizza sauce preparation.

  • Experience working with a wood-fired pizza oven.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.

  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
