Part-Time Housekeeper Job, Ascot, Berkshire
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced part-time Housekeeper to work for a friendly family based in Ascot, Berkshire. The family live in a spacious five-bedroom home and are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
The household consists of two parents, a seven-year-old child, and a toddler. Both parents are regularly at home. The role is housekeeping-focused. Occasional cooking support and occasional childcare.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 2 - 6:30/7pm. The position would suit a proactive, capable and cooperative housekeeper who enjoys working as part of a family household and can manage tasks independently.
You must be a confident driver with your own car, as the property requires driving access and the role includes errands and family shopping.
Responsibilities
Cleaning and maintaining a five-bedroom house to a high standard
Daily housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying, especially high traffic areas (kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms)
Cleaning up and resetting the kitchen and living areas after meal times
Laundry, ironing and household organisation as required
Family shopping and running local errands (i.e. post office, pharmacy etc)
Occasional cooking (healthy, family-friendly, Mediterranean-style meals)
Occasional babysitting for the children
Liaising with the family to plan tasks and ensure the smooth running of the household
A helpful attitude, flexible when plans change,and offering support cheerfully.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private household
High standards of cleaning and attention to detail
Confident driver with own car (required for access and errands)
Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work independently
Comfortable working in a family home with young children
Cooking skills and childcare experience an advantage but not essential
Eligible to work in the UK
