Housekeeper Job – Virginia Water

A welcoming family based in Virginia Water is seeking a full-time, live-out housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis. The family consists of a couple and their two young children, aged seven and three, and they are looking for someone reliable, proactive, and discreet who will become a valued part of their home.

The role is primarily housekeeping-focused and will finish before the children return home from school. However, there will be occasional childcare, such as supervising the children when required, so the family would value someone who is comfortable around children and happy to step in on an ad-hoc basis.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of the home, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard at all times. This includes detailed cleaning, careful laundry and wardrobe care, and managing delicate fabrics, including hand washing when required. An interest in flower arranging would be a welcome bonus, as the family appreciates thoughtful finishing touches throughout the home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who enjoys working in a calm, respectful, and well-run household.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Cleaning to a high standard

  • Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate items

  • Making beds and changing bed linen

  • Running local errands

  • Flower arranging

  • Occasional supervision of the children when required

Property:
Seven-bedroom, large family home

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday

  • 40 hours per week

  • Start time between 7:30 am and 8:00 am

  • Flexibility required on occasion; overtime paid as time off in lieu

Salary

  • £40,000 to £45,000 GPA - negotiable based on experience
