Live in or Live out Head Housekeeper Job in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire
A long-standing client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking to hire an experienced Head Housekeeper to join their fully staffed 7-bedroom home. There is a fantastic housekeeping team already employed consisting of 5 other housekeepers. This is the principal's main residence although the principal also travels frequently and has guests staying from time to time.
Duties to include:
Liaising with other staff and contractors
First point of call for the Housekeeping team
Service Duties
Laying formal and informal table settings
Helping with dinner parties
Other ad hoc duties as required
Managing the schedule for the Housekeeping team
Working closely with other staff members
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent longevity in their previous roles, and experience managing a team whilst still being very hands-on. Discretion is key, along with having a professional demeanour. This person needs to be proactive, efficient, and able to motivate and lead the team with positive energy and drive. In addition, previous experience working in large private households or on superyachts would be advantageous. A good knowledge of how to maintain and care for artwork, antiques, and delicate surfaces as advised by specialists.
Days/Hours: 5 days a week, 9am – 5pm on a rota shift (flexible to work on weekends when the principal or guests are in residence)
Salary: £65,000-£75,000 GPA
Accommodation: 1 or 2-bedroom property can be rented nearby should the candidate need to relocate.
