Live in or Live out Housekeeper Housekeeper job Gloucestershire
A relaxed informal family based in the beautiful Cotswolds area of Gloucestershire near Tetbury, is seeking a proactive Housekeeper to assist them in their large four-bedroom country home. This is a weekend role, where you will primarily work when the family is in residence, with two days off during the week.
The family consists of a mother, father, and their three children, aged between 11 and 21, two of whom are studying away from home. They also have a pet cat and a dog. The dog attends doggy daycare and is picked up and dropped off daily. The family is willing to arrange nearby accommodation in the local village for the right candidate. Additionally, there is a gardener and handyman employed at the property.
Cooking is not a primary responsibility, as the parents enjoy cooking; however, assistance with food preparation or occasional cooking for their youngest child may be required.
Duties include:
Cleaning, laundry, and ironing
Organising the home
Running errands
Occasional cooking and food preparation for the youngest child
Feeding the dog
Ad hoc child-minding
The ideal candidate will ensure the house runs smoothly, be flexible with hours, and be willing to assist wherever needed.
Days: Thursday - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday off
Hours 40 - 45 hours normal hours when principals are not in residence. Split shifts when principals are in residence, if necessary on some days. Or starting later and finishing later
Accommodation: provided for live-in candidates
Salary: In the region of £50,000 GPA
