Live-in Housekeeper Opportunity | Near Stockbridge, Hampshire - 25 hours a week
This role is ideally suited to an individual seeking long-term stability; the previous Housekeeper remained with the family for twelve years, which truly reflects the supportive and respectful environment of the household. As the children are now young adults, there are no childcare or nanny duties required.
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience within an informal but professional environment, demonstrating a discreet and self-motivated approach. They must have a genuine love for dogs and a willingness to provide overnight care when the family travels, as well as a desire for a long-term commitment supported by proven trustworthiness from previous references.
The Role
- Housekeeping: All aspects of hands-on cleaning to a high standard.
- Laundry: Expert care of clothing, including washing, delicate hand-washing, and high-quality ironing.
- Specialist Care: Cleaning and maintaining antiques and fine art with the necessary care and discretion.
- Pet Care: Full responsibility for two dogs (a Dachshund and a King Charles Spaniel) when the family is away. This includes house-sitting for up to six weeks per year during holidays.
- Management: Liaising with contractors and tradespeople to ensure the smooth running of the house.
- Note: No cooking is required for this position.
Please note you need a car and your licence to be able to work in this role.
Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with flexibility around occasional dog care.
Salary: £28,000 Gross Per Annum.
Start Date: Late March 2026.
Accommodation: A lovely separate annexe with its own kitchen and living room.
Requirement: You must have your own car. Partners and one pet dog may be considered upon vetting.
