Part-time Housekeeper/Cook Job
A friendly and welcoming family of four based in Notting Hill is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Housekeeper/Cook to support their five-storey home. The household includes two young children and two well-behaved dogs (a Cockapoo and a Golden Retriever), and they already employ a housekeeper four days a week. They are looking for someone to work 4 or 5 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering a salary of £18–£22 gross per hour, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and creative cook, able to prepare fresh and healthy meals from scratch at lunchtime. Also helping with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry and general tidying. The role requires someone who is child-friendly, professional, positive, and happy to work alongside others. Comfort around dogs is essential. The family is available for interviews and trials until mid-July, after which they will be away until September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term, part-time role in a warm and well-run household.
Duties:
- Preparing fresh, healthy, and original lunches from scratch for the family
- Supporting with general housekeeping duties (cleaning, tidying, laundry, etc.)
- Running occasional errands or assisting with household organisation
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Being proactive and helpful in a shared household setup
- Being friendly and engaging around the children
- Comfortable and confident around dogs, including occasional feeding or letting them out if required
The Ideal Candidate will be experienced in both housekeeping and cooking roles (especially in family settings), comfortable working in a home with young children. They will also be organised, trustworthy, and takes initiative with a positive attitude and a willingness to become part of the family routine.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Working Days/Hours: 4 or 5 days per week (flexible) 9am until 2pm
