Part-time Housekeeper Job in Gospel Oak, North West London
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking to hire a part-time Housekeeper for their home in Gospel Oak. This is an informal household accommodating a professional couple who are expecting their first baby in the spring. The property is approximately 1,800 sq ft with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an additional WC. Both clients work from home (the husband daily and the wife a couple of times a week). They have two friendly medium-sized dogs and three cats, so being animal-friendly is essential. A dog walker is employed. Their Housekeeper, who has been with them for 6 years, is leaving due to personal reasons, and they are now seeking a suitable replacement.
Duties include:
- Cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Wardrobe management
- Keeping the home organised and tidy
- Periodic deep cleaning
- Planning ahead with weekly/monthly schedules
- Cleaning the cat litter twice a week
- Other ad hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate should be proactive, organised, and pet-friendly. The client is looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming home. Strong communication skills are essential. They are seeking an exceptional Housekeeper who has the potential to grow with the family as they welcome their first child, helping with household management and possibly some childcare in the future, such as occasional babysitting.
