Part-time Housekeeper Job in Finchley Central, North London
A busy family in Finchley Central is seeking an experienced, proactive, and child-friendly part-time housekeeper to help maintain their two-floor, five-bedroom home. The household consists of a couple who both work full-time and their three children aged 2, 6, and 9. The mother mainly works from home, with one day per week in the office.
The family is looking for someone with a discreet presence, who takes initiative and is a confident self-starter. The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, and happy to assist the mother as a “right hand” with helping with the children when needed. The home has a mix of carpet, wooden floors, and tiles with modern furniture, so attention to detail and good household management skills are important.
Duties to include:
- Cleaning, tidying, and organising the home
- Keeping on top of family laundry and ironing
- Food preparation for the family (no cooking needed)
- Helping maintain the general organisation and upkeep of the house
- Providing childcare support one afternoon per week, including help with bath time

Days: 3 afternoons per week, ideally Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Hours:
2 days – 1:30 pm to 6:30/7:00 pm
1 day – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Salary: £18 – £20 gross per hour (self-employed)
