Sous Chef Job – Scotland - Sutherland Scottish Highlands - up to £55,000 gpa Our client is an estate with nature at its heart, a vision that is expressed in every touchpoint for their guests. Their food is no exception. With access to the finest local produce from the sea to the hill, their focus is on providing exceptional food in its simplest form using fresh, local and sustainably sourced ingredients. This role will see the candidate embodying this ethos in supporting the Head Chef in the delivery of honest food with provenance at the core. Key Responsibilities Implement the culinary vision of the Head Chef in relation to the venue Deliver an interactive “chef’s table” experience for the guests by engaging with them at the point of dish finishing and presentation, explaining each dish and answering their questions Collaborate with the Head Chef in reviewing guest preferences ahead of their planned visit and create dishes and meals that accommodate specific requests, allergies and dietary or faith requirements Discuss with guests on arrival all planned menus and adapt with positivity to any late changes to preferences Partner with Head Chef in the planning of supplies, taking cognisance of the remote location of our venues Build strong relationships with local suppliers in order to access local ingredients of the highest quality Comfortable moving between busy and quiet periods and utilising the latter in a positive way e.g. team development, new menu development etc Supervise the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff, ensuring that a “one team” approach is always maintained and that everyone works collaboratively to provide the best guest experience, and to support each other Support other parts of the estate as required Embrace the ethos and values of the estate and ensure that direct reports do likewise Behave as a custodian of the carefully crafted culture, taking personal responsibility for engaging positively with all team members and demonstrating respect for their contribution Place a high value on health and safety and encourage others to do likewise Who you are To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate chef with proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, ideally within a private Chef environment, or a fine dining ‘Chef’s Table’ set up. Part time Weekend Chef Job

Perm Part Time Chef Job in Knightsbridge, South West London A client from Greycoat Lumleys is seeking a talented Weekend Chef on a permanent basis in Knightsbridge. The role involves looking after a family of five. The household is fully staffed, and the chef will also prepare meals for one nanny, whose dietary preferences differ from those of the Principals. The hours are Saturday and Sunday, from 8.30am to 5pm, with flexibility. The family employs a weekday chef, close communication regarding menus and provisioning is essential. The family prefers clean, healthy cuisine, focusing on protein and vegetables, and they are avid gym-goers. Dietary requirements include no pork or alcohol, minimal dairy, and little garlic. The kitchen is a large open-plan space that connects to the breakfast room. Meals—breakfast at 9.30am, lunch at 12.30pm, and dinner at 5pm—are mostly eaten together in a separate dining room, served in a semi-formal style with plated courses and immaculate presentation. Dinner may occasionally be prepared for reheating by the Housekeeper or Principal if required. Occasional travel to the USA with the family may be offered. There are no pets in the household, and entertaining is rare as the family typically dines out. Permanent Chef Job, Notting Hill, West London Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an accomplished Chef with expertise in Hong Kong cuisine to join a private household in Notting Hill. The position is based within a family home of six, which includes four young children. The family currently employs a Chef specialising in European cuisine, and this new appointment will complement that role by introducing authentic Hong Kong flavours and variety to their daily meals. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that reflect the traditions of Hong Kong and Cantonese cooking, while also adapting meals to suit the needs and preferences of children. Responsibilities include menu planning, sourcing fresh ingredients, and maintaining a high standard of organisation and cleanliness within the kitchen. Close collaboration with the European Chef will be essential to ensure that the family enjoys a balanced and diverse dining experience. Applicants should demonstrate proven experience in preparing Hong Kong cuisine, ideally within a private household or a fine-dining environment. The role is based in a stunning Tudor house set on 150 acres of beautiful countryside, yet close to large towns, offering the perfect balance of rural tranquillity and convenience. The successful candidate will primarily cook for four family members, with additional guests on occasion. The property experiences busy periods when the family are in residence and entertaining, as well as quieter weeks when cooking for fewer people, so flexibility is essential. You will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, menu planning, and shopping, when the days a quieter you will only be required to cook lunch and dinner. The family enjoys meals influenced by Ottolenghi and a family-style approach on a day-to-day basis, alongside more formal plated course for events and entertaining. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the existing team, which includes an Estate Manager, couple, Housekeeper, and Groundsman. The property features a large kitchen garden and fruit trees, giving you the chance to create dishes from fresh produce and experiment with preserves, chutneys, and seasonal cooking.
